The Yakut people are very spiritual. They mostly kept to themselves and were closest with family. Long ago, and even still with some, they believed that each clan had a sacred animal and they were forbidden to kill them. Also, they believe that the universe is consisted of three different worlds. The "upper world" is the Gods, "the middle" is the people, and "the lower" is the evil monsters, or as we would call it; hell.
These traditional beliefs have stayed around for the most part and Yakut people are still very spiritual.
